But... you can't cook a turkey in a microwave unless it's a special microwavable ready meal and those won't be good for you!

Because the turkey won't cook through. At best, you'd be left with something inedible. At worst, it could give you salmonella or food poisoning. Not to mention, if the microwave dish can't turn, then it could damage the appliance.
